For a first-time buyer, the process of acquiring a home can seem daunting. Many transactions are straightforward but all have to comply with the letter of the law, which is why you need expert help.
In general, these are the steps which will be taken, beginning with your initial visit to the estate agent, to the day you move into your new home;

  1. You make and offer on a property through an estate agent.
  2. You apply for a mortgage.
  3. You instruct a conveyancer to manage the transaction and then pay an   amount to cover search fees, the rest to be paid prior to completion.
  4. Conveyancer applies for all necessary documentation and ensures all is in order.
  5. You organise a survey (if necessary).
  6. Conveyancer ensures any queries are answered as a result of a survey.
  7. Conveyancer communicates with your seller’s Solicitor and works towards mutually convenient dates to exchange contracts and complete.
  8. Conveyancer informs you when the matter is completed and you can move in.
