Family Law
Jul, 30, 2010
All solicitors undertaking family law have recently had to submit a tender if they wish to continue undertaking family law. This has resulted in a large number of solicitor firms losing the right to undertake family law with the Legal Services Commission confirming that the number of firms has fallen by approximately 46% from 2400 firms to 1300 firms.
We are delighted to confirm that this firm at its Shrewsbury and Telford office have not only been offered contracts but significantly more case starts than anticipated. The award of the increased contracts by the Legal Services Commission has been greeted with considerable enthusiasm and excitement.
Sue Fitzmaurice who is head of the firm’s Family Department commented that the award of the contracts to the firm not only recognises the expertise which the firm holds in all areas of family law, but enables the firm to continue its development and general expansion of the firm’s Family Law Department
